Hyperlink NFT (EIP-5489)

Respecting and enhancing the existing Influencer-Follower relationship can generate massive traction. Meanwhile NFTs are the most widely-spread iconography drawing attention all over the Web3 realm. So we developed and proposed a new standard, EIP-5489 enabling attachable hyperlinks (Hyperlink NFTs) to existing NFTs.

• NFTs as Decentralized Ad Spaces

NFT owners (aka. Influencers), once opens up its meta-data slots to attach Hyperlink NFTs via a smart contract. Content promoters (aka. advertisers) can bid to attach their Hyperlink NFTs (containing ad materials and destination URI). Audiences (aka. Followers) can click the Hyperlink NFT and get redirected to the destination site.
